Privacy Policy for Clients and/or Students of ESF
As part of the services it offers, esf is required to collect your personal data. The purpose of this policy is to outline how esf uses this data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of May 25, 2018.
1. Did you know?
Esf instructors work as independent professionals.
They come together locally within a French Ski School (École du Ski Français) to organise the teaching, supervision, and animation of skiing and other snow sports activities in resorts.
To defend their interests, they also group together in Local Unions (Syndicats Locaux), which are legal entities. There is only one Local Union per resort.
The name “École du Ski Français” is used under license from the Syndicat National des Moniteurs du Ski Français (S.N.M.S.F.), established in 1945, whose mission is to structure the profession while ensuring instructors maintain their autonomy in both organisation and teaching.
When you use esf services, your personal data is processed by both the Local Union and the S.N.M.S.F., each acting as a data controller for its own purposes:
The Local Union processes your data to manage its contractual relationship with you (billing, payments, bookings, etc.), for marketing purposes, and to comply with legal obligations.
The S.N.M.S.F. processes your data as it operates the central reservation IT system used by the Local Unions to manage esf service provision. The S.N.M.S.F. uses this system for CRM-related processing.
